Internet Archive
http://www.archive.org/
The Internet Archive is a non-profit organization that has been cataloging internet websites since 1996.  Now "open to the public," their database of over 11 billion pages can be searched using the "Wayback Machine" at this website.  This utility is really useful for looking up old websites.

Urban Legends
The next time someone tells you a "true story" that sounds a little too far-out to be possible (remember the story about the news anchor and the gerbil?) - or the next time you receive an email telling you to "forward this message to 10 people" for any reason --- take a moment to check your facts before passing the information on to others.  You will be amazed at how much of the information that you obtain from friends in casual conversation - or from "pass this on" email - is simply NOT TRUE.

If you have an inquisitive mind this is one of the best sites on the internet to learn.  How do hybrid cars work?  How do spiders work?  What about lock picking? asprin? exchange rates?  You name it...
